Our Sports Marketing team is on a mission to find a highly organised, collaborative, sporting events-obsessed Sports Marketing Executive. This role will work closely with the wider Sports Marketing team and Head of Sports Marketing to plan, manage and execute all activity for our Running and Triathlon ASICS sponsored events and athletes, in addition to managing our Cricket partnership portfolio.

So, what goes into making that happen? 

  • End to end event management across all running and triathlon sponsored events, including but not limited to Sydney Marathon, Gold Coast Marathon and Noosa Tri. Everything from the planning, execution, to vendor and agency management will be in your wheelhouse
  • Lead as a conduit between all internal and external stakeholders to track action items, set responsibilities, set deadlines, and manage timelines
  • Manage all Running and Cricket partnerships, specific to sponsorship activation, contractual benefits, reporting, products, and stock management
  • Negotiate and activate Individual sponsored athlete contracts across the Running (track and field) and Cricket 
  • Manage all athlete agent relationships, while also staying abreast of up-and-comer athletes in the Running, Triathlon and Cricket field to ensure continued growth in our sponsored athlete portfolio
  • Collaborating with the Sports Marketing Coordinator to ensure execution of athlete product seeding that aligns with the annual influencer seeding calendar, identifying sponsored athletes to align with product launches, placing orders, writing seeding cards, ordering seeding boxes and tracking content delivered alongside Social Media Executive
  • Supporting the Head of Sports Marketing with BAU and Partnership activities

That’s enough about us Here’s what we hope to see from you: 

  • Tertiary Marketing qualifications in addition to minimum 3 years’ experience in marketing, partnerships and/or events experience
  • Proven ability to manage brand partnerships in an events and marketing compacity, ensuring all end-to-end planning, coordination and execution activity is covered
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Superior time management skills with the ability to track and manage deadline heavy events
  • Ability to develop strong mutually trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • You’ll be an energetic and flexible individual who is accustomed to working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment with proven capacity to work well under pressure
  • Hands on approach to work with the ability to work autonomously
  • Exceptional communication skills – this role collaborates with a large number of stakeholders
  • Ability to attend ‘out of hours’ events where required
