Our client is a startup in the environmental services industry, looking to recruit this important role to support the business in this exciting time.

Job Description

Oversight of financial management, including:

  • Bookkeeping, expenditure coding, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, compliance with acts and regulations and commercial agreements.
  • Lead the preparation of management accounts, forecasting, budget generation and tracking.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, audit and taxation (and R&D tax rebate).
  • Complete BAS statements & GST requirements.
  • Contract management, including tracking the implementation and completion and addressing contract non-compliance/performance.
  • Scheduling and co-ordination of critical executive meetings.
  • All aspects of document control, archiving, and retrieval.
  • Review and upgrade website and manage website external enquiries
  • Manage and maintain IT system and upgrades
  • Manage and maintain office supplies
The Successful Applicant
  • Thorough understanding of bookkeeping, co-preparation of taxation returns including R&D tax rebates.
  • Competent with excel and able to complete routine data analysis.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Xero is highly regarded.
  • Exposure to procurement, previous experience with drafting and managing tender documents, is desirable.
  • Exposure to HR, previous experience with hiring and performance management, drafting JDFs and developing performance incentive-based payments, is desirable
