The opportunity

Reporting into the Manager, Workplace Relations, and Governance, this newly created position will provide specialist workplace relations advice, support and coaching to leaders and internal stakeholders on employee and industrial relations matters. Working part-time over four days a week, you will assist with the interpretation and implementation of the new GWW Enterprise Agreement as well as assist with People, Culture & Safety (PC&S) related policies.

Importantly, you will case manage formal and informal performance, behavioural and conduct matters, support union and staff engagement and work in partnership with Strategic PC&S Business Partners.

Responsibilities

  • Support the preparation, negotiation, and implementation of GWW Enterprise Agreement outcomes/changes.
  • Build union relationships consistent with GWW’s Employee Relations Strategy and organisational interests.
  • Provide workplace and industrial relations expertise to contribute to People Services sponsored projects and initiatives.
  • Build constructive union relationships consistent with GWW’s Workplace Relations Strategy and organisational interests.
  • Support the Senior Remuneration and Governance Consultant with reliable, efficient, and timely job evaluations.

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience with complex case management, including investigations and performance management practices.
  • A background in Industrial or Employee Relations that includes the management of union relationships.
  • Expertise gained from a previous role in Enterprise Agreement implementation and interpretation.
  • Proficiency in developing and reviewing HR policies.
  • Impeccable stakeholder relationship management with a flair for coaching and guiding others.
  • Ideally you will also have a tertiary qualification in Industrial Relations, Human Resources or Business.
