About the Opportunity

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Insights Manager based at Macquarie Park who is responsible for providing high impact, strategic insights for Food Merchandise to support sustainable and profitable growth of market share

In this Role

Partner closely with HOT and Category Managers to drive sustainable and profitable category growth, leveraging data-driven insights to inform strategic decision-making. Partner with Senior Merchandise Stakeholders to develop strategic category plans that align with current and future growth opportunities for IGA, ensuring they contribute to sustainable and profitable sales. Contribute insights to shape the long-term growth strategy of the Food Pillar. Establish and maintain a robust category management framework, ensuring consistent implementation across Category PODs. Drive the adoption of shopper-led category management principles throughout the organization, ensuring decision-making is informed by relevant insights. Continuously develop and lead the category and shopper insight team to deliver impactful recommendations based on data-driven insights. Manage the relationship with scan data agencies, leverage market/category and shopper insights to drive strategic decision-making through collaborative partnerships with data agencies

You’re Likely a Match If

Extensive experience in FMCG Bachelor degree in Business/Marketing or similarly related field Proven success in a Senior Category and Shopper Insights roles with people responsibilities. High level of commercial acumen and advance analytic thinking with an aptitude for problem solving and developing proactive actionable insights Strong communication and influencing skills that builds partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Experience engaging with all levels including senior management Strong analytical skills, the ability to collect and interpret data, identify insights and develop growth strategies with an understanding of Category Management and Retail Landscape Proficient at using scan and panel data from Nielsen, Circana and loyalty data
