About the Role: As an AO4 Procurement Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Procurement Manager by providing timely and accurate advice on procurement matters to various operational areas. Your expertise will ensure that our procurement processes align with the Queensland Procurement Policy and adhere to departmental procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advisory Support: Assist the Manager, Procurement, in delivering relevant procurement advice to operational areas, ensuring timely and accurate guidance.
  • Data Management: Maintain procurement registers, collect and report data from internal and external sources, and coordinate the consolidation of procurement-related data.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of procedures and systems that enhance the efficiency of our supply arrangements and contract management processes.
  • Financial Processing: Manage account processing, including requisitioning and ordering bulk materials on behalf of the department, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Governance and Compliance: Oversee procurement governance to ensure all processes comply with established procedures and the Queensland Procurement Policy.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to maintaining compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
  • Experience working within a Procurement team in a State Government Department is highly regarded.
