What's the Role on Offer?

We are seeking an Operations Controller to join our Operational Control Centre (OCC) near Brisbane Airport. Reporting to the OCC Duty Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing the 'Day of Operations' network schedule and executing recovery strategies during disruptions to ensure seamless operations with minimal impact. Key focus areas include:

  • Accurately maintain the airline's Charter and RPT schedule within the Operations Control System.
  • Act as the primary liaison for the company and third-party entities impacting the 'Day of Operations.'
  • Monitor and optimize the airline schedule to minimize disruptions and maximize On-Time Performance (OTP).
  • Resolve complex operational issues with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with Client & Charter Coordinators and Commercial teams to manage customer recovery and flow during disruptions.
  • Coordinate ad-hoc charter and client requests, ensuring their operational feasibility and effective communication with critical stakeholders.

Who we are looking for:

Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about new challenges and thrives in dynamic environments. Relevant experience or exposure within an Operations Control Centre environment is highly valued. Your skills will consist of:

  • Educated to Degree level in Aviation Management or Aviation related discipline (Desirable)
  • Relevant exposure/experience within an Operations Control Centre environment (highly regarded)
  • Experience using various airline operational or reservations systems
  • Able to think analytically and strategically
  • Ability to excel under pressure during network disruptions
  • Clear and Articulate communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ability to work shift work on a 7-day roster
