Everybody knows a JJ’s Truck when they see one . . . our iconic green and gold fleet head out rain or shine for collections in your area.

But did you know we have 23 divisions, 135 sites nationally, employ nearly 3000 people and operate a fleet of over 2300

We do more than collect the bin from your street, we also convert waste into clean energy, divert food waste from landfill and convert to compost, manufacture customised waste management equipment, asbestos removal, refine and recycle oil, manage and maintain our fleet inhouse and have our own bespoke technology systems.

Our teams include Drivers/Operators, Heavy Vehicle Mechanics, Customer Service, Operations, Finance, IT/Digital, Environment, Engineering, Industrial Chemists, Safety, Administration and much more . . .

ABOUT THIS ROLE

Working across the Hobart region, the main responsibility of this position is to drive new business and grow the presence of JJ’s Waste & Recycling.

Join a great team that prides itself on delivering outstanding customer service to our large customer base.  

You will have the ability to learn quickly and demonstrate a willingness to undertake any task at hand. Have excellent problem solving and time management, plus demonstrated high level customer service skills.

We are an essential services industry, offering stability to employees and reliability to our customers.

This position is a permanent, full-time Monday to Friday.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Proactively pursue new business in a structured, focussed & considered manner
  • Developing and nurturing existing customers through systematic cycle visits and interactions
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets and KPIs each week
  • Demonstrating a keen passion to drive the business forward and continuing to grow
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the business
  • Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement
  • Strive for improvement in operations whilst upholding a high level of safety at all times

ABOUT YOU

  • Driven and ambitious by nature, you love the thrill of winning new business and nurturing customers
  • You are well-presented and have strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Outgoing by nature, you enjoy meeting people and have a strong focus on customer service
  • Previous face-to-face selling experience - highly regarded
  • You are motivated & love to work autonomously and you enjoy being part of a larger team
  • You have a strong attention to detail; you are thorough and methodical in your approach
  • You have your own roadworthy vehicle and a valid Australian Drivers Licence
  • Be dedicated and reliable; we are an essential services industry 
  • Commit to JJ’s Waste values 
  • Have well-developed people and relationship skills
