Join our dynamic team as the Business Manager for Power Management & Control, where you will play a pivotal role in driving our strategic goals. The role involves leading the Power Management & Control Product Management team, developing and achieving business budgets and plans across sales channels, collaborating on strategy with Sales & Marketing stakeholders, building strong relationships with key vendor partners like ABB and Hitachi, and fostering a high-performing team culture through goal setting and business cadence.

The role will be reporting to General Manager for Products & Innovative Technologies and based at our office at Wetherill Park.

About the role

  • Leading the Power Management & Control (PM&C) Product Management team, guiding the product team in achieving strategic objectives and fostering a high-performing team culture through goal-setting and regular business cadence.
  • Assisting in developing and achieving budgets and plans for the PM&C business across various sales channels, ensuring alignment with overall business goals and market demands.
  • Collaborating closely with Sales & Marketing team to develop the PM&C product strategy, while building and maintaining key relationships with vendor partners to enhance product management engagement.
  • Maintaining a high level of technical knowledge regarding assigned products and competitor offerings, enabling informed decision-making and competitive positioning in the market.
  • Developing and delivering internal and external product training programs, producing technical tools for the sales team, and ensuring all work is conducted safely and professionally.

About you

  • Qualifications in Electrical Engineering (preferred), or Trade Qualified Electrician
  • Leadership experience in managing a product management team
  • Previous experience in Energy Management, Power Quality & Systems, Surge Protection
  • Marketing qualifications or equivalent experience
  • Must have strong commercial background to lead a product business unit
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Be able to demonstrate a high level of competency in the management of KPI's, margins and sales figures;
  • Willingness to travel as required;
  • Knowledge in MS Office and CRM software;
  • Proven communication and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent time management and planning skill
  • Must have the ability to travel to clients
