Our NSW Government client is hiring for a highly capable Research Coordinator/ Data Practitioner. The successful candidate will have a combination of data analysis skills, coordinating data requests and an ability to adapt to understand cultural ways of working with diverse groups. NSW Government experience within the Construction space is required for this role.

Role Title: Research Coordinator/ Data Practitioner

Contract Length: ASAP start, for a 6 Months initial role

Daily Pay:$389. + Super per day.

Location: Parramatta, (2150). Office /WFH hybrid.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the program package(s).
  • Coordination of internal and external stakeholder requests for data and/or research.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Data Strategist to inform organisational Data Strategy and explore opportunities to develop mechanisms to support implementation of Data Sovereignty and Governance Principles.
  • Assist with initiatives that identify issues with quality and consistency of data collected and held by the organisation and its partner agencies to reduce potential limitations and ensure the useability of the data for analysis and reporting.
  • Maintain key internal and/or external data sets as required to meet the analysis and reporting needs of the organisation.
  • Ensure strong collaboration and co-operative relationships are developed with program staff and other internal and external stakeholders to meet the analysis and reporting needs of the organisation
  • In conjunction with team members, undertake and support data cleaning, extraction, analysis, interpretation, and reporting from external and internal data sets to inform service delivery planning and resource allocation, client outcomes measurement, organisational performance reporting and reform initiatives.
  • Support the design, development and implementation of performance measures, tools and governance processes to improve business systems/ processes and workflows and enhance organisational capability in analysing and understanding wider performance.

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in a similar role either coordinating data requests and/or data system administration and data cleaning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated skills in communicating research and evaluation terms that can be understood by a diverse range of stakeholders and senior audiences.

Candidates must be based in or around the Greater Sydney Area and willing to travel to Parramatta. Additionally, you must possess existing full working rights within Australia.
