Our Payables and Receivables department currently have a fixed term (12 month), full-time opportunity available for a Travel and Expenses Officer to be located in either Rockhampton or Brisbane and are inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates.

About your new role:

As the Travel and Expenses Officer, you effectively manage the corporate card program functions for EQL.

From processing new corporate card requests, confirming eligibility, maintaining account details, and undertaking compliance audits (including Out of Pocket Reimbursements) to re-issuing, suspending and cancelling cards as required, you deliver expert advice, guidance and support to internal leaders and workgroup members, ensuring their travel and expense needs are met and occur within company policy parameters.

You build strong working relationships with the Expense Management and Travel Platform providers, ensuring cost effectiveness and successful outcomes are achieved. You support travel services by actioning thorough analysis, auditing of payments, maintaining business hierarchy data and accurate record management of business transactions. 

As a key advisor for EQL’s leaders, you facilitate training and provide direct support for how to navigate expense management and travel systems and apply various policy parameters in an operational context. You also perform necessary reporting functions required for stakeholder decision making across the business.

The remuneration for your new role is from $97k plus 12.75% super for a 9-day fortnight and $112k plus 12.75% super for a 10-day fortnight.

About you:

You are an experienced administrative professional who holds a Certificate IV in Business Administration and/or equivalent relevant experience and a solid working knowledge of travel and expense processes, policies and legislation specific to a large and complex organisational environment. 

You have high level computer skills with expertise in MS Office Suite and demonstrated experience operating various travel, expense management and financial systems .

Your solutions-focused mindset enables you to evaluate and solve complex travel and expenses related issues and positively contribute to your team achieving their objectives and improving processes.

You have well developed written and verbal communication skills , with a keen eye for detail , allowing you to develop good working relationships with your team, leaders, internal workgroup members and external stakeholders, and produce quality work.
