The Position
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic communication professional to join our small team.
The Communication Officer works within a team to develop and implement communication strategies and audience-focused materials.
The officer is involved in media liaison, engagement, and capturing content in the Marine Park. The position supports the Marine Park Authority's direction and activities, including outcomes for the Australian and Queensland governments' Reef Joint Field Management Program.
Travel within the Great Barrier Reef Region may be be required, as well as participating in the media on-call roster and preparing daily media clips.
The current position is ongoing however through this process may create a merit pool to fill similar ongoing and non-ongoing positions that become available within the next 18 months.
