Melbourne Private Hospital is seeking an Administration Officer to join our team on a casual basis across our hospital in areas such as Emergency, Reception and Admissions and Day surgery. About us
Melbourne Private Hospital is a fully accredited tertiary facility with 122 beds, providing intensive care and cardiac services. The hospital has 4 theatres and 2 cath labs, which offer a board range of specialities including cardiac, neurosurgery, robotics, plastics, orthopaedics, urology, laparoscopic, colorectal, vascular and general surgery as well as neurosurgery. Specialised wards include 1 cardiac, 1 neurosurgery/vascular/orthopaedic wards, as well as a general ward. Melbourne Private Hospital also has a day procedure and chemotherapy ward.
As an administration officer your responsibilities will include:
- Perform a broad range of administration duties including:
- Manage a busy reception desk
- Answer and redirect calls
- Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork
- Conduct follow up requests and make reminder calls for visits
- Maintain accurate and effective record management systems including preparation of medical records
- Manage the collection of excesses/co payments
- Coordinate with staff from other departments
- Complete other clerical tasks such as data entry, filing, file management
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to Work in Australia
- 1-year medical administration or reception experience essential
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Medical Software i.e WebPAS
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
