A BOUT THE JOB
Join our team as a Head of Marketing In this 12-month Mat cover role you will get an opportunity to drive our business strategy and lead the Early Life Nutrition (ELN) portfolio to sustainable, profitable growth. Reporting to the Marketing Director of ELN and Dairy division you will shape and execute innovative brand and portfolio strategies, oversee product development initiatives as well as coach & develop a high performing team. You will be a key player in our senior leadership team, steering our growth and transformation agenda.
Your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):
Brand Planning, Strategy and Positioning -Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies for multiple brands in the Early Life Nutrition (ELN) category, ensuring alignment with company goals, consumer insights, and growth opportunities, while collaborating with leadership and localizing global strategies, lead the ELN brand planning process and oversee audits, strategy, and activation. Communication and Media Planning - Ensure excellence in execution of integrated communication strategies together with partner agencies, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, consumer insights, and media plans, while monitoring performance and adhering to validation processes Portfolio and Innovation Strategy- Lead short- and long-term portfolio strategy and innovation, oversee pricing and promotional adjustments, supervise new product development, and influence stakeholders for business case approval and market placement. Brand Performance Management- Develop growth plans based on market and consumer insights, monitor key performance metrics, adapt initiatives for optimization, and manage brands’ P&L for profitable growth. Commercial Business Partnering- Collaborate with sales and category heads to develop commercial strategies, understand retailer needs, secure NPD ranging, and leverage partnerships for sustainable growth. Healthcare and Business Planning- Develop and implement healthcare-focused marketing strategies, collaborate with head of sales to drive priorities, assess initiatives, and support the scientific agenda for long-term brand growth. P&L and Budget Management- Collaborate with leadership on budgeting and planning, monitor and adjust strategies, contribute to overall business P&L, define and oversee A&P spend, negotiate agency costs, and manage tenders for optimal spend and quality. People Management & Talent Development- Manage and develop the Early Life Nutrition Marketing team, fostering motivation, retention, and succession, while participating in talent processes and mentoring across the business unit. Leadership & Stakeholder Management -Represent Marketing within the leadership team, engage with regional and global internal stakeholders, engage with top management, lead cross-functional teams and external stakeholders, manage agency relationships, and present in key business forums.
About You
You are a visionary leader with a proven record of driving growth and developing high performing brands. You are a passionate marketeer who excels in coaching and guiding teams to success. Your strategic and commercial mindset coupled with a creative, solution-oriented approach enable you to identify opportunities and implement effective growth strategies.You thrive in dynamic environments and are adept at leveraging data-driven insights to inform your decisions.
Ideally you will have:
Strong experience in brand management in a managerial role within consumer, healthcare or FMCG marketing. Proven people management and development skills. Expertise in brand planning, positioning, strategy, execution and portfolio management Experience with managing multiple brands or portfolios Skilled in multi-channel communication strategies. Proficient in using research and data insights for decision-making. Extensive experience with NPD Stage Gate process, launching new brands or large NPD. Strong P&L understanding and commercial acumen. Successful track record in brand turnaround and strategic portfolio management. Ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead beyond the immediate scope.
