Our programs are designed to support whilst making the transition from student to Registered Nurse within a supportive and welcoming environment. The aim is to promote educational opportunities to graduates as they consolidate their theoretical and clinical skills into practise. This is a structured program with a comprehensive orientation, paid professional development days, work shop and debriefing sessions which are supported by a dedicated learning team. 

Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be presented with a certificate of completion.

  • 64 Hours per fortnight, permanent part time, working a rotating roster
  • Position is located at Mercy Hospital for Women

  • Letter of application addressing the key selection criteria in 600 words or less

Key Selection Criteria:

  • List the program you have applied for and outline why you have applied for a Graduate Program at a valued based organisation like Mercy Health. 
  • Outline what makes you an outstanding applicant for this position
  • Provide any previous experience in a health care setting 
  • Two page Curriculum Vitae outlining relevant experience and clinical rotations 
  • Two clinical referees including their professional title, place of work and both email and phone contact details 
  • Certified copy of academic transcripts to date (including ‘key to results’)
  • Two recent summative clinical appraisals (must be certified)

Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
