**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
**Summary of the role**:
- As a Surgical Access Booking Officer, you are accountable for the clerical management of patients on the Elective Surgery Waiting List ensuring adherence to the Department of Health Elective Surgery Access Policy. Additional responsibilities include accurate data entry in our patient administration system (iPM), working closely with the Surgical Liaison Nurses regarding patients elective surgery procedure to ensure we provide quality patient focused care to our patients and their family.
**ABOUT YOU:
- Well-developed computer & administration skills including strong attention to detail
- Ability to take initiative, prioritise and manage competing priorities.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with strong customer focus
- Knowledge of patient administration system (iPM) & medical terminology is highly desirable

- Mercy Hospital for Women is a fully accredited Level 6 Public Specialist Teaching Hospital providing both public and private patient care through maternity services, neonatology and paediatrics, perioperative services, gynaecology, women's health and associated health, support and diagnostic services. We are a major teaching hospital and specialist referral centre with the medical, nursing, midwifery and allied health expertise to treat the most complex obstetric, neonatal and gynaecological cases.
