The Fuels & Energy East line of business have a current opportunity for an experienced People & Culture Business Partner, based in Gladstone, QLD. In this role, you will truly partner with the operational stakeholders to ensure People & Culture deliverables are exceeded while delivering effective, high quality and accurate advice to managers and employees, and to support the business to achieve operational objectives.

About the role

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with key personnel within your portfolio
  • P&C business partnering role focusing on strategic outcomes and operational solutions
  • Work closely with the P&C Manager to provide support and guidance around the people strategy; retention, talent profiling, succession planning, workforce planning, performance review and remuneration planning
  • Support and mentor colleagues within the team
  • Provide timely and accurate P&C / IR / ER advice to managers and employees on a range of P&C issues including performance management, retention initiatives, organisational change, and a range of employment and employee relation matters
  • Lead and support the P&C component of project setup including the mobilisation process and ensure P&C project deliverables are met

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR / IR or a related discipline mandatory
  • 5 years plus working within P&C; with exposure to HR generalist, stakeholder management, IR and organisational capability
  • Ability to work independently, to organise and prioritise demands, to handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously
  • The ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels, both internally and externally
  • Ability to engage with stakeholders in a proactive manner to provide strategic business partnering solutions
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
