About You

  • You have demonstrated experience in a true business partnering environment, developing and implementing strategic HR solutions that align with business objectives to address key workforce challenges in the medium to long term.
  • You have highly developed communication, consulting and negotiation skills with the proven capacity to provide authoritative advice and maintain effective and credible relationships at senior levels
  • You have a relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources Management, Employee Relations, Business, other relevant field and /or professional experience in human resources management in a large diverse service industry organisation

What you'll be doing


As the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) you will have a dedicated portfolio and work closely with your respective Directorate leadership teams in dealing with and providing advice on a wide range of HR / ER matters.

You will be the HR lead for major District services and work as part of a HR small team.

Reporting through to the Deputy Director HR Services this represents a grand opportunity to showcase your excellent people management skills and help drive sustainable change across your portfolio area.


This role requires proven HR Business Partnering skills in terms of being able to operate independently, work closely with and build effective relationships with all stakeholders and advance the District's people first agenda.

You will be literate in both contemporary HR management practices as well as having great change management, conflict resolution and proven employee relations skills.

Trustworthy and organisationally savvy, you will help design and deliver HR practices and ensure that we are helping build a great organisational culture.

This role is an excellent ground level opportunity to be part of a valued HR function and become the people expert to the business in a time of exciting change and opportunity.
