Customer Service Officer

The role
Deliver a professional enquiry service, answering customer enquiries via multiple channels including phone, email and web chat. Guide customers to appropriate information resources, assisting them to transact online and educating them about ASIC services and our website. Confidently provide quality customer service displaying empathy, ASIC knowledge and the ability to understand and interpret the customer's enquiry. Accurately record enquiries on the database and forwarding appropriate written information to customers, whilst running multiple applications simultaneously. Assess and process applications and information received from regulated entities to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the corporate, business and professional registers, and engage with regulated entities to obtain relevant information to update registers in a timely manner. Adhere to key performance indicators such as call handling and information processing times. Provide basic IT assistance to customers responding to IT outages, passwords, accounts enquiries. Be an active participant of the Service Delivery team.About you
Experience in customer service and working in a team environment. Experience in data entry using a variety of software applications simultaneously e.g. Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes, databases. A relevant high school/secondary certificate or a diploma is desirable. Casual work is ideal for tertiary students or for people who want to balance work, family and personal commitments.As a casual employee you are paid a loading of 25% of hours worked in compensation for you not having entitlements under the National Employment Standards that casual employees are not entitled to receive (including but not limited to annual leave, personal leave, notice of termination, redundancy pay and public holidays).
