Our client is a global investment management firm with a growing footprint in the Australian market. They are seeking an experienced business development and account management candidate to join their team in Melbourne, as the Regional Manager – Southern.
The Regional Manager – Southern, which will encompass Victoria, South Australia, Western Australia, and Tasmania – is a newly created position that will collaborate across various business functions including Key Accounts, Marketing, Investment Strategy, and Capital Markets. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing and building a team of Business Development Managers and Business Development Associates specifically focusing on the intermediary client segment.
The role will include some of the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for ensuring regional team is supporting and implementing broader distribution strategy specifically on KPIs such as flows, revenue, activity.
- Provide support to the regional team including business development managers and associates in managing existing client relationships, building out client coverages and creating and converting opportunities.
- Provide support of the regional team in achieving individual and team objectives and KPIs specifically around flows, revenue, and client activity.
- Develop good understanding of client’s business, objectives, goals, and market challenges within specific region and ensure information flow and support from the team is consistent.
- Work alongside the key accounts team in developing and supporting campaigns and strategy for national financial planning accounts.
- Service all assigned clients, providing quality support, building on existing relationships whilst also prospecting for new clients, creating, and converting opportunities through a phone based, virtual, face and content approach.
This is a quality role for an experienced business development candidate to take a regional leadership role within a growing investment management business. Solid base remuneration plus bonus will be on offer to the successful candidate commensurate with experience.
