About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Safety Professional to lead and develop our safety initiatives in the Southern Region. You will work closely with our National Health and Safety Manager to implement strategies that promote a safe working environment and drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective safety policies and procedures to minimize risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct incident investigations, hazard identifications, and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and coaching to site leaders and staff on safety best practices and procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, including employees, contractors, and customers, to promote a culture of safety and wellness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential safety hazards and implement corrective actions.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health and Safety (minimum Degree or Post-grad).
  • Proven experience in conducting risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and coach others.
  • Innovative and creative approach to safety, with a proactive attitude.
  • Eagerness to learn and desire for career development.
