The Corporate Performance Department is the catalyst for driving the strategic direction and operational performance of the Monash City Council, ensuring services and projects are strategically aligned and delivering value for money.

About the Position

The Integrated Council Planning Lead will support and oversee Monash City Council undertake a major integrated planning exercise, ensuring Council has a long term strategic direction that reflects community aspirations, meets the requirements of the Local Government Act 2020 (Community Vision, Council Plan, Financial Plan, Asset Plan, Health and Wellbeing Plan) and provides guidance to our Annual Planning Process.

Skills and Experience

The Integrated Council Planning Lead will:

build constructive and effective relationships across a diverse range of internal stakeholders work independently to identify potential conflict between critical stakeholders, negotiate with them and work to resolve these engage with a broad range of external stakeholders, representing Council, including local residents and traders as well as senior officers in Monash based organisations use their strong communication and presentation skills to build and maintain stakeholder support for the project draw upon their strong ethical framework and the ability to remain impartial and objective.

Requirements

have significant project management experience including working within a Project Management Framework and service planning experience have significant experience working ensuring the project is compliant with relevant legislation and regulations, whilst meeting organisational objectives have significant change management experience, and  have a tertiary qualification in a business or a social sciences discipline.
