Public Sector People are in need of an experienced Corporate Planning & Performance Lead to assist with Council's Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework on a 6-month contract.

This role focuses on developing, monitoring, and reporting on key elements such as the Community Vision, Council Plan, Annual Report, and Organisational Strategy. You will also play a crucial role in onboarding new councillors and ensuring the successful execution of the Council Plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and oversight of Council's Integrated Planning and Reporting Framework (IPRF).
  • Develop and oversee public-facing documents: Community Vision, Council Plan, Annual Action Plans, and Annual Report.
  • Enable the creation of annual Service, Department, and Directorate Plans that align with the Council's Vision.
  • Review and oversee the Organisational Strategy through Action Plans and Quarterly Reports.
  • Support the rollout of the Council's Service Review program and nurture a culture of ongoing improvement.
  • Provide guidance, training, and assistance to staff and teams involved in corporate planning and reporting tasks.
  • Manage a corporate reporting cycle utilizing business systems like Pulse Software.
  • Generate high-quality reports and submissions for the Council, senior management, and external entities.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and standards in all corporate planning endeavors.

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience in corporate planning within local government or public sector, specifically with integrated planning and reporting frameworks.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of effectively engaging various stakeholders and presenting data.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills along with proficiency in data analysis.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of local government laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Dedication to community involvement, upholding organizational values, and ethical work practices.
