Purpose of the Role
The Internal & Change Communications Specialist will manage and enhance digital communication channels like Slack and HQ (intranet). They will serve as a liaison between the business, external parties, and these channels, providing advice and support to key stakeholders on best practices for optimal use.
Position Accountabilities
- Plan and execute change plans for implementing Slack within the wider business and divisions.
- Deliver scalable solutions to engage people and drive adoption of change.
- Maintain stakeholder relationships to minimise resistance and maximise engagement.
- Track and manage stakeholder activities and issues.
- Provide leaders with tools and templates to improve operational change capabilities.
- Identify and apply lessons learned throughout the transition lifecycle.
- Develop and implement communication plans for Slack and HQ (intranet) adoption.
- Deliver ongoing communications and education programs to enhance engagement.
- Ensure alignment with brand and style guidelines.
- Support employees and leaders with tools and templates for better communication.
- Maintain training plans with the Learning and Development team.
- Coordinate and facilitate training for employees, leaders, and specific users.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, business, or similar, with a minimum of five years' experience.
- Experience implementing digital communication tools from a change, engagement, and communications perspective.
- Experience in high-impact, dynamic internal and change communications teams.
- Strong skills in stakeholder engagement to deliver high-performance outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write for various genres and audiences.
- Excellent organisational skills, able to work autonomously, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and confidentiality.
- Highly developed digital skills, experienced with Google Suite, Slack, and intranet tools.
