Duty Manager

We are excited to offer:

  • Part time position - 3 nights per week
  • 7-day roster (Monday to Sunday) & public holidays
  • Scale 5 - $39.40 per hour (prob rate - first 3 months) and then $43.25 per hour inclusive of hourly allowance for 7-day roster (Mon to Sun) & public holidays
  • Work for one of Australia's leading conservation and sustainable eco-tourism organisations.

About the Role:

You will oversee the nightly operations at the Penguin Parade. Providing guidance and supervision to staff and volunteers, oversee guest interactions, site presentation, and prioritise safety and quality. You will be the key person on the ground for emergency management and risk control. Key Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience managing customer service at a high level preferably within the tourism industry
  • Proven ability to effectively lead a diverse team
  • Knowledge of key aspects of tourism operations and the ability to effectively implement policy and procedures
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced work environment
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Medium level of computer skills using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong leadership and confident in decision making
