**About the Company**

Davidson has partnered with a leading conservation and sustainable tourism organisation, Philip Island Nature Parks, who are responsible for managing over 1,805 hectares of reserves, wetlands, and woodlands. We're dedicated to quality ecotourism experiences and wildlife management and feature the highest number of Advanced Ecotourism accredited types of tours of any tourism operator in Victoria. We are seeking a Financial Manager for a 12-month fixed term full-time role to assist with a collaborative and dynamic team.

**About the Role**

The Financial Manager is responsible for the financial heath and sustainability of the Nature Parks, working closely with the CFO and the senior leadership team in the process. The Finance Manager will oversee all financial operations and strategies, including budgeting, financial reporting, and compliance with all relevant regulations. This role will have a team of senior financial professionals as direct reports, as well as overseeing the progress and effectiveness of the entire team.

Other responsibilities include:

- Develop and implement financial strategies in alignment with the organisations strategic goals.
- Participate in the Nature Parks Leadership team, contributing to overall strategy and decision making
- Oversee and manage all aspects of the Nature Parks financial operations
- Act as a strategic business partner internally, providing financial guidance to support the Nature Parks decision-making, as well as maintaining relationships with key external stakeholders and agencies.
- Lead the annual budgeting process
- Coordinate and liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring all audit requirements are met.

**About You**

You will
- Be an experienced and qualified (CPA/CA/Bachelors’ Degree) Finance Manager who has proven experience developing strategies and managing financial operations
- Have 5+ years or more experience in a similar position carrying out the duties listed above.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead, influence and communicate with team members and external stakeholders
- Experienced working knowledge of complex computerized systems and experience in the development of financial and reporting systems
- Experience in government or related organisations is desirable, but not required
