Business Development Manager

About the Role

Reporting to your Regional Sales Manager, this role is a front-line sales and relationship position playing a key role in the maintaining and acquiring of profitable new business volumes from our existing and new Broker Partners. You will build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external business partners and actively work to increase penetration of the IPF product through development of business relationships with key Insurance intermediaries and direct customers. A key part of the role is to implement a personal visitation program and create and execute on plans to identify, target and win accounts within the IPF industry.

About you

Experience:

  • Insurance industry knowledge is highly valuable
  • Experience in premium funding desirable
  • Affinity with key distribution channels and major aggregators

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high growth, high demand environment
  • Disciplined sales skills and an attention to detail is a critical componentof this role
  • Proven ability to deliver sales results and exceed objectives
  • Ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders
  • Sound technology experience and ability to master multiple systems and applications
  • High level of oral and written communication skills, organisational skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others
  • Totally customer focused and an exceptional team player
  • Strong organizational and planning skills with a sense of urgency
  • A self-motivated individual with a desire to improve and evolve in a changing environment
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills, problem solving skills
  • Strong communication with the ability to work under pressure
  • Understanding of credit risk / financial services is advantageous
