About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Toorak office. This pivotal position combines traditional office management with specialised legal administrative duties, including trust accounting and legal invoicing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Office Operations & Administration
    • Manage daily office operations and maintain supplier relationships
    • Oversee office resources and maintain efficient systems
    • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers
  • Financial Management
    • Process monthly legal invoicing and manage billing enquiries
    • Handle trust account management with strict compliance
    • Collaborate with bookkeeper on financial reporting
    • Follow up on accounts receivable
  • Legal Support
    • Provide comprehensive support to Principal Lawyer
    • Manage legal filing systems (both digital and physical)
    • Handle diary management and deadline tracking
    • Perform legal secretarial duties including document preparation

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum 2 years in legal office management or similar role
  • Experience with trust accounting and legal billing systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal practice management software (e.g., Leap)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Professional demeanour with high integrity and confidentiality
