Research Scientist – 100% remote - $140K-$160K base + super
Work for this great well-known AI and Digital Innovation Technology Research Firm where you will get the chance to work within a great environment. You will join the team as a Research Scientist and are given the chance to really take ownership, drive and influence. This role is open to candidates in Australian or New Zealand.

Due to an expanding team, Research Scientist has now become available.

About the role
The scientist plays an essential role in researching and developing innovative technologies and advanced AI solutions in blockchain and crypto trading. They are responsible for conducting experiments, analysing data, and interpreting results to identify new insights and potential areas for exploration. They are also responsible for making critical prototypes in automation, machine learning and intelligence for Biance and the Interactive Brokers Trader Workstation.
A minimum of one 20-page research paper will be written each month on a different topic co-designed by the Research Scientist and the CEO. This position is for a dedicated academic with a scholarly background and the ability to program prototypes in open-interface commercial tools.

Responsibilities

  • Design Hypothesis and Experiments to validate research goals
  • Write short research plan papers to define experiments
  • Working with the CEO, Head Researcher and CFO to perform grant worthy research projects
  • Program prototypes for proof of concept in Crypto and Exchange Option Trading algorithms
  • Perform protype experiments to prove out use cases of research ideas
  • Write academic research papers that could be published
  • Research contemporary patent literature and prior art in the respective fields of AI and Blockchain research

Key Requirements

  • Excellent academic writing skills
  • Primary and secondary research disciplines
  • Advanced degree with dissertation in technology, computer science, AI, machine learning, Blockchain
  • Track record of innovation
  • Ability to individually program complete protypes
  • Basic knowledge of Crypto and Exchange Options Trading
