Commercial Claims Specialist

What you’ll do:

Work closely with Agency and Schemes team and front line claims teams onboarding and maintaining distribution partner relationships and embedding the contractual obligations into claims processesCreating the operational structure and processes to manage claims and/or oversee the management of claims by distribution partners within Vero claims management delegations of authority, governance and risk frameworks and regulatory requirementsCreate and embed strong financial controls around imprest account management and bordereaux claims payment processing generallyClaims relationship management contact for internal stakeholders and onboarded distribution partnersEnsuring quality assurance reviews for outsourced claims management arrangements are conducted in compliance with Suncorp’s Quality Audit Governance Standard and contractual obligations with its distribution partners.

What you’ll bring:

Demonstrated knowledge of claims, portfolio and underwriting practices and proceduresRobust understanding of GICoP, Insurance regulatory environment and Suncorp’s Enterprise Risk FrameworkRelevant experience in compliance, risk or commercial law environmentsAbility to respond to the commercial environment and to provide sound commercial recommendationsAbility to deal with complex issues, build relationships at all levels, and, negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders (including brokers).
