E-commerce - 5x Growth

$220k + super + 10-20% bonus

You’d be joining a global B2C travel company who have seen 5x growth in the last 4 years with just over $1bn in turnover last year and 9m subscribers. And it doesn’t stop there. This is just the start. Their goal is to be AirBnB big and beyond and they're on that trajectory.

However, to get that growth you need to understand the customer and make recommendations before they know what they want themselves. That’s where you come in.

You’ll be leading from the front on the search algorithm - you’ll be taking the existing platform to the next level - you’ll be making it world class. 

You’ll be hands-on across software development but will also be able to get stuck-in with AI and ML and leading the team to design and build a search and recommendation platform.

This is an Tech Lead / Staff Engineer role where you’ll oversee the function technically and hands-on - you’ll be getting involved in the code, building an engineering culture and creating things that haven't been done before.

You’ll initially be joining a team of 4 Engineers but this will grow and you’re really in charge of your destiny. It’s a chance to shape this role but also your career path within the business.

  • You have worked on a search platform before, know your way around Vector Search and Open Search
  • Code in any language but happy to be working in a JavaScript tech stack - TypeScript, React, Node.js, AWS
  • You know the value of AI and ML and when it’s needed
  • You’re product, customer and commercially focused as well as technical
  • You want to take something that is already great and make it world-class
