Job Overview

We're seeking a Tech Lead to join our Sydney-based team at Luxury Escapes. As an in-person company, you'll work 4 days in the office and 1 day from home. Our cross-functional teams include Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers focused on delivering solutions rather than completing tickets.

Luxury Escapes is a rapidly growing business with a mission to delight customers with incredible deals for the world's best holidays. We aim to create outstanding travel experiences for our community.

About the Role

You'll manage a team of software engineers, oversee software development and delivery, and ensure our technology infrastructure meets business needs. You'll remain hands-on with coding and influence the success of a highly trafficked platform.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of software engineers

  • Evaluate and improve technology infrastructure
Requirements
  • Proficiency in Node.js, Typescript, and React
  • Solid knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL)
  • Familiarity with RESTful API design principles and implementation
  • Automated testing and continuous integration
  • Strong organisational and project management skills
  • Experience working in an agile team environment
  • Strong expertise in software architecture and design patterns (micro-services)
