About the role:
Reporting to the Group Catering Manager, the Site Manager will be empowered to set the direction and lead all aspects of food and dining services at RSL Lifecare, ANZAC Village in Narrabeen for our four Residential Aged Care facilities and two Retirement Living Café operations.
You will be responsible for partnering with business stakeholders, residents and families about food choices and requirements and creating an enjoyable dining experience for residents and visitors.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Oversee a high-quality food service, with high levels of food presentation, which consistently meets expectations of customers, ensuring a variety of tasty, nutritious, and wholesome food that is best in class.
  • Lead day-to-day management of all food & dining operations.
  • Build proactive, transparent, and constructive relationships with the Village Manager and Facility Managers.
  • Oversee the food operations, including food safety, production and service, ordering, cost and quality control and management of the Central Production Kitchen team.
  • Ensure adherence to the Food Safety Plan (HACCP) and NSW Food Authority requirements
  • Drive a customer service culture where customers are central to decision making and service design.
  • Ensure effective communication forums to develop strong internal and external stakeholder relationships

About You:

  • Experience in leading and managing catering operations.
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams, managing performance and employee wellbeing, and delivering on accountabilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Current knowledge of Food Handling Legislative including HACCP requirements
  • Demonstrated understanding of quality control in food preparation and delivery within an aged care setting
  • Food Safety Certification and Australian Working Rights

It is a mandatory requirement for a team member working in the Aged Care sector to have a valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, to undertake the inherent requirements of the role.
