This opportunity is an excellent starting point for a motivated Business Development Representative or someone with a similar role to begin their career with a thriving software vendor.

With your passion, energy and savvy sales acumen, you’ll spend your days building and driving conversations within the Government Primary school segment. Your core mission is to learn about school challenges and articulate how Compass solutions can help teachers, administrators and school leaders focus on the important stuff - enabling schools to drive increased parent engagement, spend less time on administration and more time delivering great learning experiences.

You will deliver engaging product demonstrations (in person and virtually), work with various stakeholders across schools whilst partnering internally with our Customer Success team to ensure the best school experience for our prospective schools.

Responsibilities and duties:

  • Proficient CRM usage across Pipeline management including documenting, tracking and following up on all active opportunities.
  • Develop, present and maintain an active Territory Plan, which is execution focused.
  • Work with Marketing to ensure that our messaging in market and the supporting campaigns are driving the required engagement.
  • Ability to lead and align virtual teams, and the coordination of complex bid processes, requiring effective internal and external executive engagements.
  • Ability to work with multiple stakeholders, understanding pain points, creating value, which drives measurable benefits, while instilling confidence that Compass is a partner of choice.
  • Keep up to date on the Compass product and participate in regular training & informational sessions.
  • Support and attend local and national marketing events.
  • Collaborate with the Onboarding and Training Team to bring new Customers onto the Compass Platform quickly and efficiently.
  • Ad hoc tasks as requested by your manager.

This is what you’ll bring…

Ideally, you have experience in a BDR or similar role within with the SaaS software industry. You’re in sales; but, don’t “sell”. You consult. You help. You genuinely have your client’s best interest at heart. You love what you do and are keen to join a sales team who help & support each other.

You have a track record of engaging in high velocity engagements and your ability to easily connect with people, lead and manage client opportunities and your fun, open & ‘team first’ attitude will serve you well in this role.

If this sounds like you, we can’t wait to hear from you
