Randstad is partnering with a well-established provider of residential aged care, committed to delivering high-quality care and support to over 600 residents across their facilities in Brisbane and the Redlands.

About the role
As a Roster Officer, you will work closely with the Rosters team, reporting to the Roster Supervisor, and be responsible for supporting the preparation of master and working rosters. The role requires a combination of excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. You will also interact regularly with staff and management, providing high-quality customer service and accurate advice on staffing and scheduling matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and maintaining rosters, ensuring compliance with Awards, budgets and staffing requirements.
  • Monitor and manage attendance, absenteeism, and unavailability within the working rosters.
  • Ensure compliance with workforce competences, qualifications, and workplace conditions as per employee contracts and Enterprise Bargaining Agreements.
  • Coordinate workforce training and development scheduling.
  • Support HR and Finance teams, particularly with payroll-related tasks.
  • Assist with reporting, analysis, and insights into workforce trends.
  • Help develop and maintain relevant policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Reconcile variances between rosters, timesheets, and payroll.

What are we looking for?

  • Current National Police Certificate.
  • Previous experience in scheduling or rostering, preferably within the aged care or healthcare sector.
  • A positive, team-based attitude with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • High computer literacy and willingness to adapt to new technologies.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgement in sensitive situations.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications (Bachelor of Business or similar).
