Anti Money Laundering and Fraud Compliance Specialist

The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Anti Money Laundering (AML) and Fraud Manager to lead the delivery of Fraud and AML strategic business, customer, and operational outcomes for the business. As a key member of our Risk and Compliance team, you will provide advice and guidance to safeguard against Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing (ML/TF) and ensure AML standards are implemented to mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop operational processes for fraud and AML operations, including enhanced customer due diligence (ECDD), unusual matter investigation, and AUSTRAC regulatory reporting.
- Conduct ECDD, unusual activity investigation, and AUSTRAC regulatory reporting on behalf of the Group, maintaining appropriate records.
- Identify opportunities to improve and enhance the organisation's fraud and AML/CTF detection capabilities, working closely with other teams to improve systems and controls and monitoring emerging trends.
- Provide advice and guidance on improvements, best practice, and risk mitigation measures.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and compliance assessments.
- Assist in preparing AUSTRAC compliance reports.
About You
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in business or a related discipline, experience in a Fraud/AML Operations team, and good analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and RSA and RCG qualifications are also desirable.
