ABOUT THE ROLE

The Operation Performance Analyst will be responsible for analysing and evaluating the operational performance of contracts within the bus operations division of Transit Systems NSW. This role will involve monitoring key performance indicators, conducting data analysis, and providing insights and recommendations to improve contract efficiency and effectiveness.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

  • Monitor and analyse contractual performance metrics related to bus operations, including on-time performance, service quality, and customer satisfaction. 
  • Identify trends and patterns in contract performance data and develop reports and presentations to communicate findings to key stakeholders. 
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to contract compliance, service quality, and operational efficiency. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to identify opportunities for improvement and implement solutions to enhance operational efficiency. 
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and performance tracking tools to monitor contract performance on an ongoing basis. 
  • Participate in contract review meetings and provide input on performance-related issues and concerns. 
  • Stay informed about industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to contract performance analysis in the transportation sector. 
  • Responsible for collating timely, accurate and up-to-date information from a variety of sources, databases and systems for distribution internally and externally
  • Extracting and analysing performance data from the relative system to assist business improvement
  • Providing relevant, accurate and timely information to the MD and Senior Management
  • Provide input into commercial and coordinated procurement activities to support other business functions and reduce business input costs and otherwise ensure that it is consistent with Business Plan objectives
  • Support the business functions with the management of service providers and suppliers to ensure agreed standards, KPIs and contractual outcomes are met and maintained.
  • Identifying non-compliance and managing the implementation of mitigation measures
  • Investigating and providing solutions to potential contractual disputes
  • Understanding and communicating contractual restrictions and providing solutions
  • Oversight of contractual promises made to the client and coordinating timely responses.
  • Coordinate the completion of BSARs for service variations related to GSBCs with Finance and Scheduling
  • Contribute to, in close liaison with the Service Planning and Performance team, reviews of reliability and punctuality trends across the network, in the purpose of providing critical information for performance improvements.
  • Demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of contractual obligations and client interests and needs
  • Managing the provision and dissemination of accurate and timely information to all parties involved

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Economics, Operations Management, or related field. 
  • 2+ years of experience in contract performance analysis, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry. 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences. 
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Knowledge of contract management principles and practices, particularly in the context of public transportation operations.
