ROLE OVERVIEW

The Operations Performance Analyst will focus on assessing and evaluating the operational effectiveness of contracts within the bus operations sector of Transit Systems NSW. This position entails monitoring key performance indicators, performing data analysis, and offering insights and recommendations to enhance contract efficiency and effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Monitor and assess performance metrics related to bus operations, including punctuality, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Identify trends and patterns in contract performance data, developing reports and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholders.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators associated with contract compliance, service quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to pinpoint improvement opportunities and implement solutions to boost operational efficiency.
  • Create and maintain dashboards and performance tracking tools for ongoing contract performance monitoring.
  • Engage in contract review meetings, providing insights on performance-related issues.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory requirements concerning contract performance analysis in the transportation sector.
  • Gather timely, accurate, and relevant information from various sources for internal and external distribution.
  • Extract and analyze performance data to support business improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver relevant, accurate, and timely information to senior management.
  • Contribute to procurement activities to support other business functions and align with business objectives.
  • Assist in managing service providers and suppliers to ensure compliance with agreed standards and KPIs.
  • Identify non-compliance issues and oversee the implementation of mitigation strategies.
  • Investigate potential contractual disputes and propose solutions.
  • Communicate contractual obligations and provide solutions to meet client needs.
  • Oversee commitments made to clients and ensure timely responses.
  • Coordinate the completion of service variations with relevant departments.
  • Work closely with the Service Planning and Performance team to review reliability and punctuality trends for performance enhancement.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of contractual obligations and client interests.
  • Manage the dissemination of accurate and timely information to all relevant parties.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, Economics, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in contract performance analysis, preferably within the transportation or logistics sectors.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with the capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with contract management principles and practices, particularly in public transportation operations.
