  • EL1 equivalent $602+ per day
  • Located in Brisbane, Queensland

About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Integrity Investigator to join our People Support and Integrity Branch. This role is integral to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and conduct within our organisation, ensuring compliance with the Public Service Act 1999. The successful candidate will conduct internal investigations, primary reviews of action, and manage external jurisdiction matters with professionalism and impartiality.

  • Assess and evaluate information, referrals, and allegations related to internal integrity and conduct.
  • Conduct balanced, robust, and professional investigations and reviews in line with relevant legislation, policies, and APS guidelines.
  • Case manage investigations and external jurisdiction matters with a trauma-informed and risk-assessment approach.
  • Support other teams such as HR, Legal, and Fraud in both operational and strategic contexts.
  • Contribute to effective integrity processes, projects, and internal governance to foster a robust integrity culture within the organisation.
  • Analyse and report on case metrics and integrity data.
  • Contribute to the prevention, detection, assessment, and treatment of misconduct within the organisation.
  • Research, interpret, and apply extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, enterprise agreements, and policies to provide advice on complex conduct matters.

About you
To thrive in this role, you need:

  • Demonstrated experience in conducting investigations into suspected misconduct, particularly in the public sector.
  • Ability to use investigative, analytic, and assessment skills to deliver objective, impartial, and ethical outcomes.
  • Ability to drive investigations autonomously with sound judgement and effective prioritisation.
  • Experience in producing thorough and timely investigative reports for senior management.
  • Experience delivering outcomes in a fast-paced and agile environment, collaborating with stakeholders.
  • Aptitude for handling sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality, with a robust risk management approach.
  • Proficiency in case management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to handle challenging conversations.
  • Proven track record of ethical behavior.
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Government Investigations.
  • Previous investigative or analytic experience in an integrity-related public service environment.
  • Be able to pass and hold a national police check and worker screening check.
  • Must be an Australian Citizen.
