Job Specific Requirements

Desirable: 

Project management qualifications, such as a Diploma in Project Management, PRINCE2 Practitioner and/or Certified ScrumMaster qualifications in a relevant field. General Construction Induction Card (White Card).

Essential: 

Demonstrated project management/coordination experience in building and construction industries. Demonstrated experience with electronic security systems, such as CCTV and EACS technologies Experience with contract performance management. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 (Confidential/Highly Protected/Secret) security clearance.

Duty Statement

Classification:  Parliamentary Executive Level 1 

Branch: Digital Customer Services Branch

Section: ESS Operations

Immediate supervisor: Director, ESS Operations

Under limited/general direction undertake duties in accordance with the agreed standards for the Parliamentary Executive Level 1 classification. The duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

1. Effectively plan and manage maintenance and enhancement activities for the Australian Parliament House (APH) Electronic Security Systems (ESS) ensuring work is delivered to an appropriate standard and within timeframes and budgets. 
2. Lead the field services team, including assignment of maintenance and enhancement activities to staff and service providers, ensuring staff work to an appropriate work level standard and service providers to contracted service levels, timeframes and prices.
3. Develop and manage a roster for providing support coverage during onsite support hours (varies based on parliamentary sitting/non-sitting periods), and out-of-hours on-call support.
4. Draft, publish and maintain artefacts required to support the effective operation of APH’s ESS, including a preventative maintenance work plan, design and technical documentation, work permits and authorities to work.
5. Provide technical expertise, advice and physical repairs for planned and reactive maintenance and enhancement activities, including acting as first responder to incidents, breakdowns, defects and issues ensuring appropriate assignment and timely rectification.
