About the Role


To lead and inspire the practice of continuous Service Improvement mindset and methods in projects and initiatives within the Digital Design & Service Experience (DDSE) team. To design and improve the experiences of and services to students, staff, and academics.

Your responsibilities will include:

Support the delivery of sustainable outcomes that support the University’s commitment to continuous improvement. Support a work environment that fosters high achievement and collaboration. To be aware, ready and willing to work using a blended toolkit incorporating both Design (Service Design, UX design) and Service Improvement (including Lean, SixSigma and Business Process Mining) as appropriate to achieve the optimal outcome. Work with stakeholders across the University to engage them and advocate for the value of Service Improvement methods, tools and mindset to address complex problems and opportunities.

Who we are looking for
We are seeking a highly motivated Service Improvement professional with a passion for continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of Service Improvement methodologies, strong problem-solving skills, and exceptional interpersonal communication abilities. They will be able to effectively engage with stakeholders across a complex organisation to identify improvement opportunities and drive positive change.

You will also have:

Qualifications which may be in one of the following fields of study – Lean, SixSigma, Lean Six Sigma, BPM or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education/training per the current Enterprise Agreement classifications. Tertiary, or other qualifications which may be in one of the following fields of study – Business, Engineering, Systems Thinking Practical experience and broad knowledge of the practice of Service, Process and Business improvement
