**About the Role**

The Business Improvement Lead oversees system development and management for the Infrastructure Services team within the Faculty, focusing on standard operating procedures, reporting, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role plays a pivotal part in fostering collaboration across university services to ensure consistent practices, reporting directly to the HSW and Business Improvement Manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Provide direction to and oversee the performance of the business improvement team to deliver services that support Infrastructure Services team.
- Provide monitoring, reporting and advice to the FEIT executive on business improvement opportunities to drive effective and efficient operations and a continuous improvement ethos
- Implement business rules for the charge out system for the use of the workshop, equipment and spaces, and technical and laboratory service staff.

**Who We Are Looking For**
- You will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills to engage stakeholders, fostering a culture of compliance and continuous improvement. Experience in team management, task allocation, and supporting personal development is crucial. Additionally, strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills are necessary to prioritise and develop innovative solutions across multiple concurrent projects.

You will also have:

- A relevant degree or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or educational training.
- Knowledge and experience of working within a certified quality management system (e.g. ISO 9001)
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking, ability to generate ideas to solve local problems and recommend improvements to current work practices.
