The Role
ABC Far North Queensland has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Producer who can produce and present compelling stories across multiple platforms.
The Job
As a Producer you will:
Prepare distinctive and compelling content across all platforms that engages local audiences, including Q&As, packages, scripts, interviews and breaking news; and present local programs as required. Provide in-studio production support and manage talk-back callers and guests. Create local content that can be shared with other content teams across the ABC. Cross promote other ABC content to increase audience engagement.Position description:
About You
You have the necessary producing experience and presentation skills to be successful in this role. You have accomplished program making skills with a proven ability to develop and make original and engaging audio and cross-platform content for target audience. With a willingness to work in a collaborative way as part of the ABC Far North Queensland team under the direction of the bureau Editor.
Accomplished editorial skills including the ability to source and analyse information and exercise sound judgement. Demonstrated understanding and passion to source and create authentic content which represents the broad diversity of the Australian community, including stories that reflect a range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds and Indigenous communities where editorially relevant. Possession of a current and valid Driver’s Licence. Willingness and flexibility to travel to various locations.What we can offer you:
