About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Coordinator to join our team in Cairns. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and delivering construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in planning and delivering projects by effectively supervising and developing office staff, field staff, and subcontractors.
  • Perform high-quality condition assessments and estimation services to ensure efficient, cost-effective project outcomes.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with human resource practices, including employment equity, anti-discrimination, and workplace health and safety.
  • Provide supervisory services for the delivery of construction, maintenance, and upgrade work.
  • Produce high-quality tender and quotation documents for building projects, and prepare accurate and timely estimates, quotations, and project trade packages, including material lists and construction schedules.
  • Coordinate and deliver condition assessments, including inspections of building elements and materials. Collect samples for testing, such as asbestos, ensuring the application of safety management systems

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A proven track record of Site Supervisor or Foreman experience on various projects in building and construction, civil engineering or commercial.
  • A construction industry related trade qualification (highly desirable).
  • A current Workplace Health & Safety General Safety Induction Card.
  • The ability to travel extensively, with a valid driver's license and willingness to undertake overnight stays.
