We are seeking a skilled Medical Transcriptionist with specialized experience in radiology to work in our CAIRNS office.

Position is physically based at the hospital, and as a Medical Transcriptionist, your primary responsibility is to accurately transcribe medical reports, such as radiology reports, dictated by healthcare professionals. You will specialize in transcribing radiology reports, including X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, ultrasounds, and other diagnostic imaging procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transcribe medical reports with high accuracy and speed.
  • Interpret medical abbreviations and jargon to produce coherent and understandable reports.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Proficiency in medical transcription software and tools.
  • Excellent typing skills with high accuracy and speed.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in radiology.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic imaging procedures and terminology.

The hourly rate for this position is $46.27 per hour, or approximately $52 per hour for afternoon shifts. Hours could be suited to your availability, with a minimum of 3-4 hours per shift.
