Lead XR Unity Developer

The position of Lead XR Unity Developer will report directly to the Emerging Technologies Lead.

As the lead XR developer, you will develop mobile applications (iOS & Android), utilising your expertise in Unity 3D, C#, 3D math, and related technologies. You will help source vital information and modify code to fit XR (AR/VR/MR) UX and UI best practices. Additionally, you should stay updated on new technologies and processes, contribute to setting new standards, and provide input on development patterns to expedite and simplify feature implementation.

The position responsibilities are:
* Define and build Unity 3D native applications, in collaboration with team members for new application features, identifying and fixing application bottlenecks, maintaining the core code and updating applications published and its customers to deliver business value and efficiencies
* Work closely with the relevant design teams to source key information and adapt code to align with the specified XR (AR/VR/MR) user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) best practices/guidelines
* Facilitate discussions and participate in development scrums with relevant stakeholders to make deliberate development decisions and to translate any given user-experience journey and intuitive user interface into functional software
* Deliver conceptual designs, rapid prototyping and full development of Unity 3D based apps by developing an understanding of the customer by focussing on customer and business goals using agile ways of working
* Provide insights and oversee the design and animation teams on emerging hardware, platforms and techniques on how other customers interact with services and their behaviour.

Criteria:
– Demonstrated 5 – 10 years’ experience of Unity, C#, 3D Maths, and associated technologies
– Strong 3D math skills and C# object-oriented programming and scripting language skills.
– Proven skills in C#, C++ and Unity3D with strong coding standards
– Strong understanding of UX design process and experience working with UX design team and/or development team
