Job Summary:
The Team Lead position plays a strategic role within the TIMS & PSP software including the design and development of complex software solutions based on customer and industry requirements, creating strategies for new functionality and maintenance of existing products. This key specialist role will take the lead for tranches of software development, providing support and guidance to software engineers assigned to the development of the TIMS product.

The primary focus of this role will be the TIMS product, however oversight of development of other solutions, such as the PSP is also required.

About the Role

As Development Team Lead, you will play a strategic role within the design and development of complex software solutions based on customer and industry requirements, creating strategies for new functionality and maintenance of existing products. This key specialist role will take the lead for tranches of software development, providing support and guidance to software engineers assigned to the development of our TIMS ERP product.

You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Provide strategic leadership to a team of Developers, focusing on the timely and budgeted production of high-quality updates to TIMS, PSP and related products.- Provide input to the ongoing evolution of the architecture of the product, ensuring that implementation is aligned with overall group architecture and product direction.- Drive improvements in software quality, ensuring compliance with established standards.- Manage personnel, including daily supervision, goal setting, learning and development plans, and mentoring activities.- Collaborate with the Research & Development Manager on setting priorities and reviewing progress within the TIMS, PSP and related products.- Oversee the development of other solutions, such as PSP, ensuring they align with overall group architecture and product direction.- Provide accurate and timely updates to the Research & Development Manager on testing, releases, issues, progress, and estimates.- Timely production of high quality and accurate quotes, estimates and development statement of works.- Foster a collaborative working environment within the ANZ Bus team and across the wider organization.

What you’ll bring to the role:
- Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in system development or software development.- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or another related discipline.- Thorough understanding of current best practice software development methodologies.- High-level experience in Java, JavaScript, C++, and/or Smalltalk.- Proficiency in Vue.js and ideally Vuetify.- Ability to motivate and inspire a team of skilled software engineers.
