Reporting to the General Manager of Sales, this role will be based in our Welshpool office.

About the role

  • Designing and executing sales plans that achieve revenue targets, grounded in comprehensive market analysis and an understanding of customer needs and trends.
  • Establishing clear sales goals and quotas for the sales team, ensuring alignment with the company's broader business objectives to drive performance.
  • Fostering and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, focusing on exceptional customer satisfaction and strategies for long-term retention.
  • Exploring new market opportunities and expansion areas, assessing potential regions or industry segments for growth.
  • Leading client negotiations on pricing, terms, and conditions, balancing competitiveness with profitability.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to the sales team, including motivation, training, and support for new team members through effective onboarding initiatives.
  • Initiating actions to prevent product non-conformity and develop corrective measures for any quality issues within the sales area.
  • Conducting all activities in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, adhering to CMI’s QHSE policies and procedures.

About you

  • Electrical cabling or electrical wholesaling experience in a sales or branch manager role.
  • Demonstrated computer skills.
  • Medium costing experience.
  • Knowledge of Stock Control and Purchasing requirements
  • Ability to provide written and verbal instructions, set guidelines and procedures to provide a quality customer service.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan workflow to achieve outcomes within identified timeframes.
  • Ability to maintain accurate work records.
  • Ability to follow quality assurance and workplace health and safety practices as applied in the working environment.
