This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 3, 2024

The successful applicant will have the opportunity together with the Associate Principals, Manager Corporate Services and staff to strategically design, plan, implement, oversee and manage the school’s Information and Communications Technology (ICT) network and other relevant infrastructure. In this role you would administer risk management and contingency planning for data security, system backup and disaster recovery systems and administer the school’s network, software licensing requirements and copyright obligations.

The Manager Technology and Communications provides advice on technical issues associated with network administration and liaises with internal and external providers on ICT matters. They will manage ICT services staff, the ICT services cost centre, including budgeting, purchasing and reporting and ICT assets and resources, including hardware refresh cycles and disposals, software subscriptions and service level agreements.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position. 

To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):

Strategic ICT planning skills and the ability to formulate recommendations consistent with business plans and priorities. Well developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills relevant to technical support, including the ability to manage conflicting priorities and demands whilst maintaining customer service principles and practices. Substantial experience in managing ICT networks and projects, including strategic risk mitigation and change management. Knowledge of software licensing and IT copyright obligations and regulations. Well developed written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to lead a team, establish collaborative working relationships and work independently.
