Job Title: Technical Support Specialist
We are currently seeking an experienced technical support specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a leading company in a key customer-facing position.
About the Company
We are a global leader in analytical instrumentation and software for X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray fluorescence spectrometry (XRF) and Sample Preparation Equipment (SPE) with over five decades of experience. Our product portfolio includes a wide range of XRD, XRF and SPE systems which are used for material characterization in scientific research and development, for industrial process control applications and for semiconductor metrology.

As a Technical Support Specialist, you will be part of a team of 17 experts who serve our customers located across Australia. Your responsibilities will include installations, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of complex scientific and analytical instrumentation. This position is ideal for an individual who is self-directed, detail-oriented, and passionate about customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Repair and maintenance of complex scientific and analytical instrumentation
Perform installation of equipment from delivery to completion
Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely
Keep customers informed and update relevant personnel on any open issues
Requirements:
Relevant qualification in Electronic or Electrical Engineering, Advanced Diploma or above
At least 2 years of experience in technical support or customer service
Experience in precision mechanics
Excellent customer relationship skills
Good technical hands-on skills and ability to work with tools
Ability to travel up to 50-60% of working time across Australasia
Ability to solve problems under stressful conditions
Politeness and diplomacy
Organizational and planning skills
Initiative and ability to work at different hierarchical levels
Independence and teamwork skills
Passion for customer service
Nice to Have:
Background in XRF or XRD would be an asset
Radiation safety license
Experience with other analytical equipment
