This position is an 8 days on 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 days off roster. You can live locally and go home every day or stay in our Village for your roster and DIDO. The RoleAs a Maintenance Technician with Newmont, you will be required to monitor and maintain equipment in a large, fixed plant process mining environment to ensure we safely achieve milling production targets. All maintenance personnel are required to maintain and assist across all areas of the processing plant including as required.
- Conveyor, Crushers and Screens
- Feeders and Chutes
- High Pressure Grinding Rolls
- Shutdown Supervision
- PM inspections in all areas
- Operation of plant equipment (EWP/Forklift/Overhead crane/Dogging/Basic Rigging/Hiab)

To be successful for this role you will have the following.
- Australian recognised Trade Certificate as a Mechanical Fitter.
- Prior experience in a large, fixed plant environment
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work within a team
- PC skills
- Exposure to CMMS (SAP preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of the statutory regulations relevant to safety and the environment for the mining industry
- High Risk Licence: forklift, elevated work platform, dogging/rigging (preferred)
- Confined Space Entry and Working at Heights (preferred)
- Current "C" class manual drivers' licence.
